Condition: I called the California DMV and verified that this plate is clear and ready for possible usage if desired. There are scratches in the white lettering and on the black paint. There is some surface rust in areas but there are no holes or brittle spots (please see pictures). This plate is for the most part, pretty straight. This item is in good, used condition for its age with great vintage patina and would be a good candidate for restoration if wanted.

I called the California DMV and verified that this plate is clear and ready for possible usage if desired.
This item belonged to my father and was stored in his den unused for many years. There was only one plate issued in the year of 1945.
There are scratches in the white lettering and on the black paint. There is some surface rust in areas but there are no holes or brittle spots (please see pictures). This plate is for the most part, pretty straight.. This item is in good, used condition for its age with great vintage patina and would be a good candidate for restoration if wanted.
