1963 Cadette Girl Scout Pin
In 1963 four Challenges became mandatory to earn your First Class. In addition to this one, the other three are:
Challenge of the Girl Scout Promise,
Challenge of Active Citizenship, and
Challenge of Emergency Preparedness.
This particular challenge was the most popular of the original four.  These pins are in Excellent Condition as shown.  (
I'll post a new picture when I run out of excellent.)
In 1972, EIGHT more Challenges were issued.  This entire program was discontinued in 1979 to make way for the Worlds to Explore program change.
