VINTAGE GIRL SCOUT THANKS BADGE
RARE 10 KARAT GOLD, Hallmark: LGB
Before 1973
The “Thanks Badge” is not really a badge at all!  It is a beautiful pin hanging from a gold bar and dark blue ribbon.
This Thanks Badge is at least 45 Years Old since it is solid 10K Gold, which was discontinued in 1973
.   The Hallmark on the back says, “10K LGB”  (Google say it is Lloyd Garfield Balfour.)  So if you or someone you know has misplaced their Thanks Badge, this is a perfect opportunity to replace it because Girl Scout shops will not sell it to you without Council approval.
It comes in the ORIGINAL BOX with "Girl Scouts of the U.S.A." on the plastic cover.
THIS CAN BE WORN AS A PIN… OR… THERE IS A SOLID JUMP RING ON THE BACK SO THAT IT CAN BE WORN AS A PENDANT by adding a chain.
