Here is an
ADULT APPRECIATION PIN from 1980, the FIRST YEAR of the new Profiles Logo
.
These NATIONAL AWARDS
cannot be purchased without Council Approval, so it is very hard to replace or even to "collect."
It is also scarce because it is highly prized by the awardee.
It
measures
approximately
3/4 inch in diameter.
This is in Excellent Condition and comes on the original card.  I guarantee this is the correct number for this pin.
Please note:
there is a pin-prick of green enamel missing as shown in the picture.
It is certainly GIFT QUALITY, so if you know someone who has lost theirs, this is your chance to replace a difficult pin to purchase without proof of having been awarded one.
An Appreciation pin is awarded to Volunteers who are recommended for their actions over and above their required duties.  It requires letters of recommendation and approval of a Council committee.  It is a National Award and is worn with pride on the Adult Uniform.
