Meliot Sweet Clover Herb (Melilotus L. - Melilotus Officinalis)
Meliot Sweet Clover, known also as yellow sweet clover, yellow melilot, ribbed melilot and common melilot, is a plant native to Europe and Asia. The leaves contain coumarin and they release the pleasant smell of newly mown hay when they are drying. Its aroma is used in tobacco mixes and in special cheeses.
To make a tea, take 1-2 tsp of Meliot Sweet Clover Herb and add 250 ml of boiling water. Let it steep for 15-20 minutes, then strain and drink. You can add to this tea a hint of vanilla.
As a decoction: 1 tbsp of Meliot Sweet Clover Herb pour 250 ml of water at room temperature. Heat for 30 minutes without allowing boiling, stirring frequently. Strain. Use for compresses and washes.
