very nice restored 100% original California license plate pair. 1914.  14x6 inches; blue legend on white background.  plates are completely straight and flat, with much original porcelain remaining.  one plate has just one tiny chip at a mounting hole; the other has similar, plus damage at lower right extending into the "8".
DMV clear as of 11/2/2022;
