Allochol is a combination agent that enhances the formation of bile and bile acids.
Pharmacotherapeutic group: choleretic agent of plant origin.
Active substances are bile of cattle, garlic of onion seeds, nettle leaves, dioecious leaves and activated carbon.
Composition per tablet :
Bile of cattle - 80 mg
Garlic bulbs - 40 mg
Nettle dioecious leaves - 5 mg
Activated carbon - 25 mg.
Description :
The tablets, film-coated from light yellow to yellow, are round, biconvex.  On the cross-section of a grayish-black color, light inclusions are allowed.
Pharmacological properties:
Cholagogue (cholekinetic and choleretic) means, reduces the processes of decay and fermentation in the intestine.  It enhances the secretory function of liver cells, reflexively increases the secretory and motor activity of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications for use :
Chronic reactive hepatitis, cholangitis, cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, atonic constipation, postcholecystectomy syndrome.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, calculous cholecystitis, obstructive jaundice, acute hepatitis, acute and subacute liver dystrophy, gastric ulcer and
12 duodenal ulcer, acute pancreatitis.  Children's age up to 7 years (for this dosage form).
Carefully:
Pregnancy, lactation.
Dosage and administration:
Inside, after eating, 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day, for 3-4 weeks.
With exacerbation - 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 1-2 months.
Children over 7 years old - 1 tablet 3 times a day for 3-4 weeks.
Side effect:
Diarrhea, allergic reactions.
Interaction with other drugs:
Preparations containing aluminum hydroxide, colestyramine, colestipol reduce absorption and reduce the effect of the drug.  Simultaneous reception is impractical.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms:
The use of the drug does not adversely affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
